About the event

Did you know that YOU have the power to disrupt hate in your community? Swastika graffiti, ableist discrimination, racially driven violence, sexual harassment, and homophobic slurs are all examples of incidents that you can report to Cook County agencies for further investigation.

If you see something, say something. Residents should know that Cook County has direct resources to fight hate. Be an agent for change and an ally for your community.

Hear from representatives from the Cook County Offices of the Sheriff, State's Attorney, Department of Human Rights and Ethics, and Public Defender to learn:

  • How hate is investigated

  • The difference between hate crimes and hate incidents

  • Victim support resources and mental health services
