Report an Act of Hate

Being a witness to or a recipient of hate can be a terrifying and unmooring experience. But you do not have to weather fear and uncertainty alone. Stop hate in its tracks by reporting hate incidents so they can be appropriately catalogued and investigated.

Cook County

Sheriff's Office

The Cook County Sheriff's Office maintains both a Hate Crime Tip Form and a Hate Crime number. The Hate Crime Tip form can be submitted anonymously. Residents throughout the County are urged to call (773)674-HELP (4357) to report a suspected hate crime.

Cook County Department on Human Rights and Ethics

Cook County Commission on Human Rights works to protect people in Cook County from discrimination and harassment, and to ensure that those who work in Cook County are paid an appropriate wage for their labor and receive appropriate benefits.

Evanston Social Services Committee

Oak Park Community Relations Commission

The Community Relations Commission was established to assure all Oak Park residents of equal service and treatment regardless of race, religion, ancestry, or gender expression. Oak Park residents can connect by calling (708)358-5670.

Illinois Commission on Discrimination & Hate Crimes

The Illinois Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crime is a Governor-appointed commission working to counter and prevent bias and hate. Victims of hate crimes are encouraged to report it regardless of your residence or immigration status.
